The CAVC Bar Association will conduct a half-day program on April 12, 2019, immediately following the conclusion of the Court’s Judicial Conference. The program will feature a brief introduction to Judge Joseph L. Falvey, Jr., followed by a discussion by representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs about recent and ongoing developments, as well as what is on the horizon.

Chief Judge Davis, along with CAVC Bar Association President Amy Odom and Kenneth A. Walsh, Deputy Chief Counsel of VA’s Court of Appeals of Veterans Claims Litigation Group, will discuss basic veterans law topics. Subjects include the organization of VA, different types of VA disability benefits, and how to read a claims file. The presentation is part of the Veterans Law CLE hosted by the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana.

CAVC’s 14th Judicial Conference in April, 2019, are due tomorrow, Feb. 20, 2019.
The CAVC Bar Association is proud to offer these scholarships in partnership with the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program.
The CAVC Bar Association is pleased to announce a scholarship competition for law student applicants to attend the CAVC’s 14th Judicial Conference. Selected scholarship recipients will receive paid registration ($290 value) and a travel stipend (up to$500 for those outside the Washington, DC metropolitan area).
Entries must be transmitted via email for consideration to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the email subject line “CAVC Judicial Conference Scholarship Application.” The deadline for all entries is Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:59pm EST.
